Soapbox Sunday: Breastfeeding Edition

Today marks the launch of World Breastfeeding Week 2010. Guess what all of the following links involve? Now let’s get this party started.

On my other baby, Black Women Do Breastfeed, you can read the moving story of Karianna’s breastfeeding journey which includes tandem nursing a toddler and an infant. Then hop on over to her blog, Caffeinated Catholic Mama, for more breastfeeding fun.

Dionna at Codename: Mama, has a sweet, funny, inspiring series called “The Joys of Breastfeeding a Toddler.” I’m hoping to contribute a story one day soon.

The Breastfeeding Cafe Carnival has been in full swing this past week featuring links to the writings of awesome breastfeeding moms.

A good friend of mine just won the dubious (yet hilarious) Worst Mom Award for an outrageously funny-in-retrospect breastfeeding mix up.

I’ve been thinking quite a bit about this post at Outlaw Midwives on the need for humility when promoting breastfeeding.

Elita at Blacktating shares why she breastfeeds in this short video.

What other breastfeeding posts have you come across lately?
